BMW N13 Timing Chain Replacement

Something we are increasingly seeing in our workshop is the N13 engine, also known as a Prince engine. This engine is very sensitive to chain stretch, often causing drivetrain errors due to camshaft correlation and frequently vans codes related to this too. Our timing chain replacements use only the OE parts, with all new consumable bolts replaced too.

Please note that if our technicians find missing pieces from the old timing guide, we will strongly recommend that the sump is dropped to remove these old pieces. This will be an additional cost but will save your engine from oil starvation in the long run. This can still be completed same day.
