Engine Rebuild Warranty Terms and Conditions
All rebuilds are carried out to the highest quality with utmost care. All engine clearances including those of the big-end and main bearings are measured using high-accuracy, digital micrometers, bore gauges and pastigauge where specified by the manufacturer. All clearance data is taken directly from the manufacturer technical manual.
We provide a 1 year warranty against engine failure. Mileage is subject to the service intervals being met and the correct oil being used.
For this warranty to be valid engines must have an oil change at 150-250 miles after a rebuild and then be serviced at regular 8000-10,000 mile intervals thereafter or every year, whichever comes first. This service paperwork must be provided at our request, including clear mileages. Manufacturer specified BMW Long-Life engine oil must be used at all times.
The engine must remain at the correct oil and coolant level and kept within the manufacturer’s specified operating temperature at all times. The manufacturer’s recommended oil and coolant type must be used.
Any track or race use will void the warranty.
The fitment of non-OE or performance parts in the drivetrain or engine will void the warranty.
Any problems, noises, codes or warning lights must be reported within 36 hours to Element Enterprises for advice and further diagnostics if required.
No claims for fitting costs, if not completed by Element Enterprises, are covered under the warranty.
No consequential loss is covered by the warranty terms under any circumstances.
Oil coolers or oil heat exchanges must be replaced in the event of metal of any kind being found in the oil or in the engine and proof of purchase must be provided of this.
It remains the sole responsibility of the engine fitter (where this is not Element Enterprises) and driver to ensure these terms are met.
Warranty terms may be amended without notice.
